ABA Ranked Maps — 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 Pools
ABA ranked map rotations for 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3: current pools, stage sizes, and how random map selection affects competitive play.
Ranked Map Selection
Ranked Mode randomly selects a map at match start — no voting. The pool differs by queue type: 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 each maintain separate caches that developers adjust after community feedback. Unlike Arena voting, you cannot dodge unfavorable stages except by leaving queue. Top players memorize every ranked map's geometry, spawn order, and wall combo spots before climbing past Legend rank.
Ranked grants less XP than Arena but is the only path to competitive titles — pair map knowledge with ranked fundamentals and 1v1 tier list picks. Removed ranked maps include World of The Kais, Roman Colosseum, Sagiri Mountains (temporarily), and The Final Valley during certain backlash periods — verify current pools on ABA Trello.
Current 1v1 Ranked Map Pool
The 1v1 cache emphasizes small-to-medium stages that discourage running:
- Budokai Tenkaichi Arena
- Babidi's Ship
- City Streets
- Chunin Exams Arena (Preliminaries)
- Destroyer Tournament
- Heavens Arena
- Floor 1 Boss
- Las Noches (Outside)
- Sagiri Mountains
2v2 and 3v3 Ranked Pools
2v2 ranked includes Canyon, City Streets, Corrida Colosseum, The 3rd Training Ground, The Final Valley, The Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Sōkyoku Hill, and Sagiri Mountains — wider stages accommodate team combos and assist confirms. 3v3 expands further with Basketball Gym, Chunin Exams Arena (Final Round), Nine Tails Cage, and additional large arenas for chaotic team fights.
Team modes reward Whitebeard earthquakes, Madara susanoo space, and Yamamoto flame zones on open terrain. Solo mains should still lab 2v2 spacing — see full map list for stage dimensions.
Ranked Map Strategy
On Budokai Tenkaichi and Destroyer Tournament, pick rushdown characters who thrive in honest neutral. On Las Noches (Outside) and Sagiri Mountains, respect uneven terrain that blocks projectiles. Bankai Training Cave's Zanpakuto clutter disrupts beam ultimates — adjust skill aim.
Spawn memorization matters on Budokai Tenkaichi — respawns follow a fixed order, giving lab rats a slight edge. Use glossary terms and PC controls for consistent movement across all ranked stages. When stuck, grind Arena for gold instead of forcing ranked on bad map RNG days.
