All 42 ABA Maps

Anime Battle Arena features 42 playable maps spanning Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Bleach, JoJo, Hunter x Hunter, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer, Fate, and original stages. Maps range from tiny runner-proof arenas like City Streets and Heavens Arena to sprawling set pieces like The Final Valley and Canyon. Some appear in both Arena Mode and Ranked Mode; others are Arena-only due to bugs, community feedback, or balance concerns.

Dragon Ball contributes twelve maps (~29% of the pool) — the largest franchise share — including Budokai Tenkaichi Arena, Namek, Planet Zoon (the 42nd map added), and Destroyer Tournament. Naruto and Bleach each contribute six maps, including paired locations like Chunin Exams (Preliminaries/Final Round) and Las Noches (Inside/Outside). One Piece ships six maps from Aaron Park to Marineford. Understanding map geometry is as important as character tier when climbing ranked.

Map Modes Explained

In Arena, three maps appear on the voting screen — lobby players pick the stage before Team Battles, FFA, or Lives begin. Double Voting gamepass doubles your vote weight. Ranked selects a random map from mode-specific pools: 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 each maintain separate rotations documented on ranked maps page. Removed stages like U.A. Sports Festival left the pool after licensing issues; World of The Kais, Roman Colosseum, and Sagiri Mountains rotated out of ranked due to community backlash but remain in Arena.

Special character-exclusive maps — Unlimited Blade Works, Ionioi Hetairoi, Diatrekhōn Astēr Lonkhē, and Town of Beginnings (GPO) — trigger during awakenings and override the current stage temporarily. Practice universal movement on ABA basics before blaming map RNG for losses.

Map Strategy by Size

Small maps (City Streets, Heavens Arena, Budokai Tenkaichi, Destroyer Tournament) punish runners and favor Yuji-style pressure. Large maps (Canyon, Final Valley, Cell Games Arena) enable zoning from beam characters and Law's Room. Vertical maps (Las Noches Inside, Enies Lobby Tower) reward characters with aerial mobility — review aerial combo guide.
